Moths
04:24
|
|||
Following the strands of her loosened hair,
Caught with fire points of sunlight snared.
Soft spoken she draws me in and I am helpless,
Like the last wisp of evening on the wind, her caress.
All's a gale as I cross the street
A thunderclap hail spurs the soles of my feet.
Soft spoken she draws me in when I am restless,
Like the last wisp of evening on the wind, her caress.
She said, 'Ours are not like butterfly's wings
But more like the moth blindly fluttering;
We don't know if we're caught
By light bulbs or pure flame,
Let us just be enraptured.
All my discordance she blends into tune
My staccato nerves she yields to a swoon.
And I know this is sudden, I know we should take heed,
But the involuntary nature of this feeling can't be restrained.
She said, 'Ours are not like butterfly's wings
But more like the moth blindly fluttering;
We don't know if we're caught
By light bulbs or pure flame,
Let us just be enraptured.'
'The beauty is in the act whatever
Its end may be, we might steal
A glimpse through the veil or
Simply fail. We can't know yet
So let us just be enraptured.'

Crash Bandicoot Blues
03:18
|
|||
Thunder into you
I'm Crash Bandicoot,
You are a crate of apples
I'm the force.
Watch out I'm coming
I'll spin you off your feet,
Better start running
If you can't handle me.
The blues like a boulder
Rolling at my heels
But I've got my mask.
I fought through the jungle
I fought through the swamp,
Riding a tiger
Sounding my barbaric yawp.
For my love who was taken
Taken from me,
No man or beast
Can withstand my fury.
The blues like a boulder
Rolling at my heels
But I've got my mask.

Gossamer Girl
03:18
|
|||
My gossamer girl you're all around me,
Though I can't articulate the nature of this feeling,
Strands woven around me, but too finely wrought to trace.
And words are cold cold things now you're gone,
They're nothing to the inarticulate and how
Could they capture the darkening matter in your eyes?
Warm to me, though I know it's been so long,
See that I could be the man to take you on.
From the procession of Times New Roman I digress
To you, because I'd rather spend the evening
Simply close reading the lexical curve of your neck.
Warm to me, though I know it's been so long,
See that I could be the man to take you on.
Don't you know that I can still see the moon
Silvering us so entwined? And if you just let me in
I promise that everything will be so fine.

Cherry Blossom Bloom
03:17
|
|||
Cherry Blossom bloom
Don't you let fall your flower too soon
Cherry Blossom swooning
A love drunk youth caught in the sudden spring.
My ephemeral beauty
Your fleeting grace came like a kiss
To simply console me
Enfold me in a warm embrace.
Cherry Blossom fooling
Me into melody so easily
Cherry Blossom blooming
Sweet as the pillowsoft scent of my girl asleep.
Oh how simply you soothe me
Enfold me in a warm embrace
My ephemeral beauty
Your fleeting grace came like a kiss
Come on Cherry Blossom lighten
The load lately fallen down over me
You know I cherish your bloom
So don't you let fall your flower to soon

The Fire I'm Kindling
03:46
|
|||
Tell me have I fallen out of favour with you too many times?
Was I careless with your affection?
I know I've been unkind, when kindness was all
You gave me and asked for in return.
But I still recall standing by your side
In a barley field, and the wind spinning
Patterns around us, the gorse blazing
Wild across the hillside and time
Could hardly contain us.
But since you strayed from my side
There's a fire I've been kindling for you.
And no fear could divide my intentions so girl don't be shy,
Feel the fire I'm kindling.
Tell me have you fallen into the arms of a man
Who keeps you safe, and does he offer
His love like milk and honey?
Is he all your mind, and in the night
Have you stilled seconds together?
But since you strayed from my side
There's a fire I've been kindling for you.
And no force could divide my intentions so girl don't be shy,
Feel the fire I'm kindling.
Must I spend my time romancing your ghost?
Cradling frayed images of when we were close.

Sweet Nothings
03:16
|
|||
I am starving lady,
Won't you come see about me?
We are no lovers baby,
But maybe we can make believe.
Through bloodshot eyes I spied you,
Through writhing bodies on the floor;
Let this smoke haze fall around you,
Let it suffuse you till you see no more.
And we can feign the feeling, don't you know
That closeness is two bodies simply together
Though in desperation or deceit? We won't fall
But we might breathe easier when it's done.
Last order's lights are flaring,
Two downed drinks are all we'll need.
Lend me you ear I'll slur sweet nothings,
With raw lips we'll kiss away our unease.
Through shot eyes I entreat you
To leave these bodies on the floor.
Let this smoke veneer surround you,
Let it suffuse you till you see no more.
And we can feign the feeling, don't you know
That closeness is two bodies simply together
Though in desperation or deceit? We won't fall
But we might breathe easier when it's done.
So come see about me girl don't you know
I've been waiting on your call?
Come to me through the glare,
We can smother our cares with skin.

In Articulate Atrophy
03:55
|
|||
Apathy: my sole company today.
A privileged affliction I know,
But one that's so hard to shake.
People pass by my window,
Clouds flung like dirty cotton balls
Across a slate grey sky
As the indifferent evening slowly falls.
In articulate atrophy I pass
The threadbare of the night,
Swathed in cotton words of poetry,
Subsisting on their artificial light.
Retracing her signature that soon
Faded from the sheets when she left,
Alone with adjectives dying to be fleshed.
Come on Wind tear me asunder,
Flay the flesh off my back.
Sea plunge me into your waters,
Among the rocks and the wrack.
Life come thundering through me,
Come knock down my door.
Love come smashing the matter
To smithereens. Because
Lately it seems that life
Is being lived elsewhere.

Astray
03:45
|
|||
Life lead me astray, recklessly
Blown by a gale of hyperbole,
Let us leap the cliff face of desire
Half crazed waywardly together.
Explode the matter with me
And revel in the flying mortar.
Indefinite as the wind though we may be,
But still young enough to conquer.
Life hurl me into the fray, breathlessly
Spurred from the monotone day.
Let us lose ourselves on a whim
Flung like dandelions into the wind.
Explode the matter with me
And revel in the flying mortar.
Indefinite as the wind though we may be,
But still young enough to conquer.
We could be wheeling like a sparrow wing
Give me your kisses like cotton skin
